Every cushion is a one-off, as there will never be another one made with that unique fabric combination. We use upholstery fabric remnants and other fabric cut-offs with a desire to reduce waste, re-use and upcycle materials. Every meditation cushion embodies a different style and personality.
It takes time to design our meditation cushions as the fabrics have to ‘find each other’. We sometimes get a beautiful piece that would be ideal for the top or sides of a cushion, but it hasn’t found its ‘friends’ yet, other beautiful pieces to complement it. Our range is therefore small and exclusive. We consider our designs to be bold and different, sometimes intentionally reflecting the upholstery heritage of the fabrics we use.
Meditation cushions provide comfort and support during meditation. Elevating your hips, promotes better posture allowing for longer, more comfortable focused sessions.
Make sure to keep your cushion dry. Our meditation cushions come with a removable cover. Due to the fabrics used, we recommend dry-clean only.
Our cushions are made from sustainable, up-cycled upholstery fabrics and other fabric cut-offs and filled with natural materials (either organic spelt or buckwheat husk, depending on availability). If you’re gluten intolerant, we would recommend buckwheat husk.
Yes, they encourage proper spinal alignment, reducing strain on the back during a meditation session.
